The Cat is on the Table

A friend of a friend is putting together an art project whose exact parameters are a little unclear to me, but which revolves around finding as many representations of the phrase “The cat is on the table” as possible.  Since linguists have no end of ways of representing things–and are inordinately fond of short, vacuous sentences like this one–they got a hold of me, and with help from members of the Linguistics department at the University of Washington, I was able to come up with a small collection.  I’ve been getting a kick out of putting this together and welcome new submissions.
