Standing Caveat

Much of this blog is concerned with issues in well-studied areas of philosophy.  I have very little formal training in philosophy.  As I’m writing a post I frequently find myself thinking, “There’s no way this is an original idea.”  However, it would be tedious to read this hedge over and over again. So for the record, I suspect that much of what I say here is not original.  If anyone can direct me to places where an idea I put forth has been put forth before, I will be grateful for the tip.  Now that I’ve said this once, I’ll never say it again.
