Café Code Switching

You are in a café in an English-speaking country where the staff and customers are all English monoglots. In the display case there is a pastry next to a written label that says “Pain au chocolat”.  That’s the pastry you want. Do you say, “I’d like the pain au chocolat” or “I’d like the bread with chocolate”? Or do you say “I’d like the bread and chocolate”, running the words together in a way that makes it clear you intend them to be taken as a single lexical item? Which of these options makes you the biggest showoff?
